This competition was held at the suggestion of our late Honorary President, Roger Baker. This was
to mark the 75th anniversary of the Club, along with an exhibition in Swan Walk earlier in the year.
Entries to the competition were required to have been taken in the past 5 years, in the Horsham
District. Apart from image quality, they had to portray the spirit or characteristics of the area.
The presentation of awards took place on 30th October, on our last Members’ Evening of the year.
Out of all the images submitted by members of the public, the selection panel chose the following
top three as the prizewinners:
First place: ‘Winter Sunshine over the South Downs’ by Jacqueline Picton
Second place: ‘Kingfisher’ by Ian Redman
Third place: ‘ Interior, St Mary’s Church, Causeway, Horsham’ by Sylvia Graves
In addition, there were two Highly Commended images:
- ‘White Horse’ by Jon Fitton
- ‘Concrete Jungle’ by Harry Jones
The Club thanks all those who entered the competition, for making it a success.
