On the 18th October, we embarked on a trip to Canary Wharf. We travelled by train to London and began our visit at the Tower of London. Our aim was to see the poppies placed in the moat to commemorate the start of the First World War. Very moving!
We then caught the DLR to West Ferry and walked into the West India Dock area of Canary Wharf. We saw the Grade1 listed Docklands Museum building; we then progressed further to see the multitude of modern buildings. The range of materials, styles and designs made interesting photographic subjects, with glass and reflections everywhere, interspersed by dock water. We had a quick peep at the subterranean shopping area before returning to West Ferry Station.
