Viveca talked to us about her iPhoneography and her Fellowship achievement. Viveca was interested in photography from a young girl, but it wasn’t until 2008 that she started to take it seriously. She grew up in a creative environment and was always encouraged to express herself in a visual way. Now she processes her photos with layers and textures until she gets the desired effect. Today, Viveca often uses an iPhone; she needed a decent phone- camera which was easily carried around. She is now totally converted with the ease and the effects she can make and takes many photos this way. She says “When I look around I see pictures all over the place: the shadows of plants on a wall, biscuits on a plate, patterns of a tablecloth, sections of bookshelves... Anything that I think looks interesting and catches my eye. You get nice close-ups with the iPhone; I do the inevitable flower shots as well. Food? Yes ... sometimes. Selfies?.....” Despite mobile phone photography being so accessible and millions of photos being posted online every day, somehow Viveca always stands out and remains individual. |
